Dr. Francesca Warner is a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She received her doctorate from New York University and has studied with the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
She became a physical therapist after her own experience with pelvic pain years ago.
“Back then, I found most doctors either ignorant or dismissive of my symptoms. As a result, I make sure my patients always feel seen and heard. After a life changing experience in physical therapy myself, I decided it was time to switch careers and heal others. I believe my own experience really resonates with my patients and I can empathize with many of their experiences.”
She has been featured on the Men’s Health website.
Francesca is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA.
Dr. Warner is a firm believer that the more we talk about pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and bladder and bowel issues, the closer we are to tearing down the barriers to good health and well-being.
She treats all pronouns.
I treat Women's and Men's pelvic floor dysfunction with one-on-one patient tailored sessions. My treatment plans are holistic and comprehensive. Pelvic floor physical therapy is much more than range of motion exercises, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and home exercise plans (although those are important components).
Patient education and lifestyle changes are critical. I incorporate meditation, mindfulness, and breathing exercises into my practice as well. There is also a major emphasis on fluid intake, diet, stress reduction, and bathroom habits.
